Kylie. We’re here with Jay from Re-Loved Apparel, who’s going to tell us about his new exciting brand that’s just entered our industry.
Jay:
Hey, guys. My name’s Jay from Re-Loved Apparel, of course, and the reason that I started this brand is the clothing industry is the third largest polluter on the planet. It doesn’t have to be, but there’s a solution to that problem, and that comes with sustainable fabrics. What we use is rPET, which is recycled plastic bottles, and a combination of organic cotton. That’s the shirt that I’m wearing now. It feels just like a standard cotton shirt, super comfortable, really breathable, and it actually washes really well, so it lasts a long time, and it also makes a great impact on the environment. One thing that we’re also doing is, for every 20 garments that are ordered, we plant a tree. So if you do the math, for every 100, that’s five trees planted. For every 1,000, that’s 50. That’s a really good way to make an impact, a positive impact on the environment instead of a negative one by your clothing choices.
